◆What is glycation?
Glycation is a phenomenon in which sugar ingested through food or other sources binds to proteins and lipids in the body and is heated by body temperature, producing aging substances called "AGEs (advanced glycation end products)."

When AGEs accumulate in the body, they can cause the collagen that maintains skin elasticity to deteriorate, leading to wrinkles and sagging, and can also harden blood vessels and internal organs, leading to lifestyle-related diseases.

◆Countermeasures <br>So, what can be done to prevent this glycation?

・The first thing to do is to avoid a sudden rise in blood sugar levels. Eating only refined carbohydrates such as white sugar and white rice can cause blood sugar levels to rise rapidly.

Instead, it's a good idea to focus on eating high-fiber vegetables, whole grains, and high-quality proteins.

・The order in which you eat is also important. Starting with vegetables ("veggie first") and spacing out meals to give your internal organs a rest by refraining from snacking are some ways to prevent glycation.
